No person may maintain, rebuild, alter, or perform preventive maintenance on an aircraft, airframe, aircraft engine, propeller, appliance, or component unless they can show full compliance with FAR’s as applicable.

FAR Part 43 Concerns the process of overhaul and rebuilding as well as maintenance, preventive maintenance rebuilding and alteration.

Those items, the performance of which is a major alteration, a major repair, or preventive maintenance, are listed in appendix A to Part 43.

Subjects include dealing with the Maintenance Records, Performance of Inspections and Airworthiness Limitations. In Addition the course considers process for return to service including the authorisation of persons who can approve Return to Service.
