UK CAA Part 145 Safety (SMS) & Human Factors Recurrent Bridging Module

UAE GCAA CAR 145 Initial.v2

This UK CAA Recurrent Bridging Module supports continued Human Factors (HF) competence and Safety Management System (SMS) awareness under UK Regulation (EU) 1321/2014, specifically GM1 145.A.30(e) for Part 145 personnel.

Since the HF/SMS syllabus remains identical to the EASA recurrent requirements, a valid EASA HF/SMS recurrent certificate confirms that personnel have completed the required HF training content recognised by the UK CAA.

This module provides the UK-specific oversight context relevant to recurrent HF and SMS competence. It reinforces how the UK CAA applies HF principles within its safety oversight, including reporting expectations, Safety Culture, SMS performance monitoring, and HF considerations seen in UK audits and AAIB investigations.

Its purpose is to ensure personnel remain fully aligned with how the UK CAA evaluates and expects HF and SMS to function within a maintenance organisation.
