UK CAA Part 145 Safety (SMS) & Human Factors Initial Bridging Module

UAE GCAA CAR 145 Initial.v2

This UK CAA Initial Bridging Module provides the Human Factors (HF) and Safety Management System (SMS) context required under UK Regulation (EU) 1321/2014, specifically GM1 145.A.30(e) for Part-145 personnel.

Although the HF/SMS syllabus is identical to the EASA requirements, the UK CAA applies its own oversight processes, reporting expectations, and safety-management interpretations.

The purpose of this module is to ensure that personnel understand how HF and SMS principles are applied within the UK CAA regulatory environment, including safety responsibilities, reporting behaviour, and the role of Human Factors in supporting a functioning SMS.

This module complements an existing EASA Initial HF certificate by providing the UK-specific regulatory and oversight elements required for maintenance personnel working under UK CAA approval.
