UK CAA EWIS Initial Training Bridging Module

UK CAA EWIS Initial Training Bridging Module

The UK CAA requires EWIS personnel to meet national training and competence standards under the UK-retained Regulation (EU) 1321/2014, including the EWIS training provisions referenced in AMC5 145.A.30(e) and supported through UK CAA ORS9 Decisions. This Bridging Training provides the additional UK regulatory context required for personnel who have completed EASA EWIS Initial training to operate in full compliance under UK approval.

It explains how the EASA AMC 20-22 framework corresponds to the UK-adopted version of AMC-20 (Amdt 23) and how EWIS requirements are interpreted within the UK regulatory system, including UK-specific expectations for oversight, documentation, terminology (such as UKTSOA), and reporting under CAP 382.

As the technical requirements under AMC 20-22 are aligned in scope between EASA and the UK, this module ensures that the delegate’s EASA qualification fully corresponds to UK CAA applicability and audit expectations.
