GCAA FTS Initial Training Bridging Module – Phase 1 & 2

CGAA FTS bridging modules Initial Training

The UAE GCAA requires Fuel Tank Safety training and competence in accordance with CAR-145 Appendix VIII, CAR-145.30(e) and CAR-M.706(f), supported by Appendix XII to AMC CAR-M.706(f). This Bridging Training is designed to ensure that the training received under EASA FTS Phase 1 & 2 is brought into full conformity with these GCAA regulatory requirements, enabling personnel to meet the national standards for Fuel Tank Safety training, competence, and oversight within the UAE system.
While the technical principles of FTS-SFAR 88 logic, CDCCL preservation, ALI controls and CS-25 safety foundations-are consistent, the GCAA implements these obligations within its own CAR framework and oversight culture. This module ensures the delegate’s EASA qualification is recognised and brought into full compliance with UAE requirements, including documentation, competence, and reporting expectations.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

Under GCAA AMC3 145.30(e) and AMC CAR-M.706(f), Fuel Tank Safety training is required for technical personnel in maintenance and CAMO organisations who perform, inspect, supervise, or manage tasks affecting fuel-system safety or CDCCL compliance—including maintenance execution, inspection, work planning, Service Bulletin assessment, and maintenance programme management.

Prerequisite

Enrollment requires successful completion of EASA FTS Initial training, and delegates must present a valid EASA FTS certificate prior to attending the Bridging module. Without this prerequisite, the GCAA bridging module cannot be issued or validated.
