Aviation Security (AVSEC) Training for Passenger and Baggage Reconciliation (BRS)
This training is designed to provide Airport operator’s , Ground Handler’s, and Airline’s personnel responsible for the passenger and baggage reconciliation, with specific knowledge and techniques in order to enhance overall protection against acts of unlawful interference in civil aviation.
The training aims to provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge of fundamental AVSEC standards and recommended practice in the civil aviation and ability to perform passenger and baggage reconciliation process, contributing to the safety and security of passengers, crew, ground personnel, and the public. Supervise the implementation of the passenger and baggage reconciliation process and the aviation security preventive measures related to passenger and baggage handling.

Airport operator’s, Ground Handler’s and Airline’s personnel engaged in passenger and baggage reconciliation at the check-in position (CKI counter), Transit or Transfer desk and/or Gate. Persons directly supervising Ground Handling staff implementing reconciliation of passengers and baggage. Q LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Awareness of the relevant legal requirements. • Knowledge of the objectives and organization of aviation security. • Awareness of access control and relevant screening procedures. • Knowledge of airport identification cards used at the airport. • Recognition of prohibited articles and ability to respond appropriately to their detection. • Be able to interpret and apply passenger and baggage reconciliation requirements and techniques. • Recognise suspicious behaviors of passengers or employee’s indicative of insider threat • Knowledge on the special categories of baggage’s transport • Procedures for firearms transport • Be able to interpret and apply protection requirements for air carrier materials used for passenger and baggage processing • Ability to report and respond appropriately to security-related incidents
