FAA Airworthiness Requirements for Large Aircraft
Within the FAA aviation regulatory system, there are three parts relevant to airworthiness, often referred to as “the big three”, they are: 14 CFR Part 21 - Certification Procedures for Products and Parts, In addition, the Part 145 Repair Station has a role to play in ensuring aircraft are airworthy after maintenance has been performed. This can include ensuring conformity to Airworthiness Directives, carrying out repairs and alterations, and using the correct parts, all of which must be performed by qualified personnel.
The training is intended to satisfy the needs of the Accountable Manager, Management Personnel, Quality Managers, Return to Service Personnel, Inspection Personnel, and Mechanics to gain an overall view of airworthiness.
