The purpose of a reliability program is to enable the gathering of data so we can look in detail at required procedures, responsibilities, and tasks to ensure that the aircraft maintenance program tasks are effective and their periodicity is adequate. In addition, the reliability program may result in the escalation or deletion of a maintenance task, as well as the de-escalation or addition of a maintenance task.
Proactive organisations fully embrace reliability and use it as a driver for improvement. Reliability can be about far more than simply maintaining Maintenance Programme (MP) effectiveness and reliability.
A reliability program may either be a part of the aircraft maintenance program (AMP) or an independent program on its own, with suitable reference in the AMP, in accordance with Developing an Effective Reliability Program Essentials.
This course is designed for professionals involved in the technical management of continuing airworthiness, with particular emphasis on those responsible for the reliability function. It is especially relevant to personnel in Technical Engineering, Maintenance Planning, CAMO Quality Auditing, and Technical Records, as well as those seeking to strengthen the integration between the reliability function and other departments within their organisation.
